After the first Biology semester at the University of Ulm you choose your major in "Molecular Biosciences", "Neurobiology" and "Biodiversity / Ecology". You also choose modules from a field of medicine (biochemistry, pharmacology / toxicology, virology, human genetics, medical neurosciences) or biophysics or one of the other main areas of biology and acquire specific knowledge in one of the non-biological subjects of computer science, psychology, economics, Mathematics, chemistry or philosophy.
