Overview

The Molecular Cell Biology and Cell Signalling in Health and Disease degree from Newcastle University is for graduates with a BSc in the life sciences or other science disciplines. They also consider intercalating and qualified MBBS or BDS students.

You can take this as a stand-alone qualification or as an entry route onto a PhD or MD.

You have the flexibility to develop your own course with our broad range of taught modules. You'll then work on a 24-week research project. This will be in cell signalling in health and disease research.

The course allows you to work in a competitive research area. You'll work in academia for most of the course. There is also the chance to gain some industry experience.

A minimum of a 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in:

a life science or related discipline

or an MBBS/BDS degree

This programme accepts both medical and dental students wishing to take a master's degree as an intercalation. You will need to have successfully completed your third or fourth year of study.
