Accreditation
The Monash-CIMA collaboration provides a fast track route to acquire both a Master of Accounting and the Chartered Instituteof Management Accountants (CIMA) professional qualification at the same time. To do this, you just need to choose the threeCIMA pathway units as your electives in Part C (one unit is already a required unit in Part B).
Programme Structure
- Drawing on skills you’re developing in your work and study, the program will reshape the ways you think about accounting, research, data, financial analysis and more. You’ll build on critical skills across specialist fields of practice such as accounting information systems and financial accounting, forensic accounting, auditing and management accounting – whilst gaining the practical experience to turn insight into action.

Entry level 1: 96 points to complete
- An Australian bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification with a major in accounting and achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or an equivalent Grade Point Average as approved by the Monash Business School.
- Admission is competitive and applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.
- Applicants must meet the requirements for admission at entry level 1 and have completed a qualification which satisfies the educational requirements for entry to one of the following professional accounting programs or a recognised professional accounting program approved by the faculty.
Entry level 3: 48 points to complete
- Applicants must meet the requirements for admission at entry level 1 and have completed an Australian graduate certificate in accounting (or equivalent).
