Overview
Why study this degree?
Theology has always held a central place in the life and mission of the Christian community. It is through Theology that the Church comes to understand its own faith and explains that faith to others. This highly focused Theology program at The University of Notre Dame Australia therefore appeals to students who wish to pursue a career in church ministry, counselling, teaching in a Catholic school or pastoral care.
The Graduate Diploma of Theology is designed for those with no previous background in theological studies, who wish to update their knowledge, are preparing for or involved in pastoral ministry, or wish to pursue such studies for reasons of personal and spiritual growth. Since 2017, this program has been available as a fully online blended learning program for domestic and international students, with all eight courses available via the University’s Blackboard e-learning portal.
