Overview
The Energy and Nuclear Engineering programme at Politecnico di Torino has three orientations: Innovation in Energy Production, Rational Energy Use and HVAC Design and Nuclear Technologies and Applications.
Key facts
- The Innovation in Energy Production orientation teaches you to design components, equipment and systems for the generation of thermal, mechanical and electrical energy through innovative processes involving fossil and renewable sources. If you follow this path you will find employment in industries for production processes and energy utilities.
- The Rational Energy Use and HVAC Design orientation teaches you to design and manage technologies and equipment to reduce the energy demand of buildings and industries and for their indoor climate control. If you follow this path you will find employment in design and consulting companies or as an energy manager of large energy users.
- The Nuclear Technologies and Applications orientation is focused on the design and management of nuclear power plants; on the issues concerning environmental impact, reliability, safety and radiation protection; the nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear fusion. If you follow this path you will find employment also in industries using particles and radiation for production processes and medical applications.
- During the program you can pursue educational experiences abroad, either to follow courses or to prepare your thesis. Thanks to agreements with other European universities, you will also be able to gain a double degree.
- Job prospects
