Innovative environments, methods and tools
The education at Halmstad University is characterised by our profiling as a university that drives innovation. The courses of the Network Forensics programme of Halmstad University integrate work-related issues into a creative learning environment.
In the lab environment, you develop practical skills with advanced equipment from the Cisco Networking Academy and the Palo Alto Networks Academy. You participate in incident management exercises and workshops based on material from the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).
Career
The Master's programme in Network Forensics prepares you to work independently on criminal forensic investigations of computers or as a computer administrator specialising in computer networks and IT security.

General requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (equivalent of 180 Swedish credit points/ECTS credits at an accredited university) in an engineering subject or in computer science. Courses in computer technology, digital communication, computer networks, computer science or digital forensics of at least 90 higher education credits, of which 15 credits must be in Computer networks and 7.5 credits in Programming. Courses in mathematics of at least 15 higher education credits.
- Applicants must have written and verbal command of the English language equivalent to English course 6 in Swedish Upper-Secondary School.
