Overview
The objectives of this European Societies and European Integration MS from University of the Aegean are both: the acquisition of specialised scientific knowledge and professional training of students in the field of European Studies and their acquaintance with scientific research in the field of the study of the main issues that concern European societies and the processes of convergence towards their social cohesion (integration). The MSc has aims to improve students’ professional qualifications, not through a professional specialisation but through systematic training in issues relating to European societies, the institutional framework of the EU, European policies, economic developments, the protection of human rights, methods of analysis and processing of social data.
Career
- Occupational arenas within the European Union and affiliated national and international institutions, as well as in public administration (local, regional, national, European and international), in private enterprises operating in Europe and worldwide, in Europe-oriented social organisations as well as in the intermediate sector, e.g. in political parties, foundations, and non-governmental organisations.
- Furthermore, there are employment possibilities at universities, university-level institutions and academic research institutions.

General requirements
- Previous B.A. or M.A. studies in subjects relevant to the M.A. Program;
- As a minimum, applicants should hold or be predicted to achieve the equivalent of an upper second-class undergraduate degree and have an excellent knowledge of the English language
- Detailed CV
- Certified diplomas of university/college or institution
- Certified academic transcripts of university degree translated into English or Greek
- Proof of ID
- Two (2) references/letters of recommendation
- Proof of proficiency in English (C2)
- Academic publications, articles (if any)
- Proof of relevant professional experience (if any)
- Statement of purpose (a minimum of 500 words up to a maximum of 1000)
- Proof of knowledge of any other foreign language
- Candidates with undergraduate degrees NOT awarded by Greek Universities will also need to have their degrees recognized by the Greek authorities
- Candidates may need to submit along any supporting documentation
