Unique Features
- The MS HRM programme offers two different routes to the enrolled students. A 03 credit hour industry practicum which is a unique component of the MS HRM program at NBS will be optional for students. Those who prefer to enter the industry as HR professionals can benefit from this component while the students who chose to pursue a career in research or academics may choose to undertake an elective course instead.
- The MS HRM degree is a broad-based programme that offers both functional level (e.g. performance management and recruitment and selection) and broader-thematic level (strategic / international HRM and Seminar in HRM) courses. The aim is to cultivate both breadth and depth in the knowledge base of the students. The broader-thematic courses will enhance the prospects of our prospective graduates to seek jobs in the international market and the functional level courses will appeal to the returning who are currently performing specialist jobs in HR functions of organizations but do not possess the relevant qualifications.
Associated Careers
Graduates with an MS HRM degree will, as HR specialists, be able to effectively propose and implement home-grown solutions to the HR problems of our domestic industry. They will be able to attract a host of jobs in the industry including management, advisory and specialist level positions. These include but are not limited to managing core HR functions such as staffing, T&D, designing and managing pay structures, understating industrial relations through labour laws, personnel administration and career development specialists.
