Program Details

Areas of research are open and dependent on the research interests and expertise of the student and their research supervisor. The Health Sciences MSc program offered at University of Saskatchewan provides research skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary for any life and health science graduate regardless of the nature of the research project.

Both M.Sc. and Ph.D. University of Saskatchewan students are mentored by a experienced Research Supervisor and a Research Advisory Committee. To ensure there is a mutual understanding between the graduate student and the supervisor(s) regarding program expectations and elements of the project, both the supervisor and student complete a Graduate Student - Supervisor Agreement.

Students may be able to begin their Program Of Studies in only six to eight weeks as, there are no application deadlines for the Health Sciences Graduate Program. Applicants to the Program will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Executive Committee of Health Sciences Programs, College of Medicine.

a cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units)
a four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study
