Department of Materials Science and Engineering at NTUST, established in 1975, has been a well-recognized institute in the family of Taiwanese material academic society. This department is devoted to offering students with a unique interdisciplinary academic groundwork on which to continue developing intellectual capacity, and the scholarly training needed to address complex materials in polymer engineering, electronic materials, and ceramic, metallic, and nanotechnology, biotechnology and optoelectronic materials. The department also offers graduate programs in both Master and Ph.D degrees for international students. The department currently has 23 faculty members, along with about 75 doctoral students, 144 master students, and 392undergraduates.
