The Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University offers a hospital-based combined MD/MSc programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery . This programme provides extensive training in the surgical correction of dentofacial deformities, obstructive sleep apnea, cleft lip and palate, maxillofacial pathology and reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, dental implants and other surgeries as they pertain to the specialty. In this highly competitive programme, you’ll gain a comprehensive background for practicing and teaching Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and qualify for examination by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

This graduate training programme is a six-year joint programme leading to a Doctor of Medicine/Master of Science in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
