Overview
A multi-disciplinary study of human movement, Dalhousie University 's Master of Science in Kinesiology programme focuses on the theoretical and applied aspects of human performance in a variety of settings. The combination of theory and application, together with the development of research skills, results in an outstanding academic experience and preparation for professional practice or further study.
Gradulate-level Kinesiology courses build on the skills and knowledge students already have, and offer many opportunities to explore new interests or focus on existing ones. Our students make an impact in research, sport science, rehabilitation, ergonomics, biomedical design, exercise physiology and coaching.
One full academic year (12 months) of resident study at Dalhousie University is the minimum requirement for the Master of Science Kinesiology degree. However, you should expect to take from 18 to 24 months of full-time work to complete the degree. Ordinarily, for full-time students, the degree must be completed within four years of first registration.
