The Research Training Program programme from Humboldt University Berlin is taught at the Institute of Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Key facts:
During the two semesters, the MA RTP offers a deeper understanding of theory, contemporary research methods and debates within the social and political sciences. Students have the possibility to select courses most suitable to their own academic needs and objectives and will receive intensive supervision and counselling during the process of developing their individual profile.
In addition, the program aims to help students to adjust easily to academic life in Germany, and provides help in getting access to language classes and special mentoring courses.

- Certification of Proficiency in German: level A1
- A minimum of 20 ECTS in social and/or political science theory
- A minimum of 10 ECTS in empirical social science research methods
- Applicants must have overall 240 ECTS through a first university degree (Bachelor with 180 ECTS) and at least 1 year of MA or further BA education in political science, sociology or an adjacent discipline.
