Why to study
This interdisciplinary study program Information and Communication Engineering (iCE), offered at the Darmstadt University of Technology, is focused on the theoretical basics, models and applications of information transmission and processing. This includes communication techniques and algorithms, as well as methods for their microelectronic integration in hardware / software solutions with application in mobile and multimedia communication, coding, data compression, security, image processing, medical systems, among others.
Information and Communication Engineering (iCE) links with industrial partners and academic researchers (both in ours and other world-class universities) will introduce you to further possibilities during your studies and after that, whether your plan is to find employment or pursue a Ph.D.

General requirements
- The International Master Program - Information and Communication Engineering is a program of excellence. We expect from our students a solid background in basic engineering subjects, as well as good foundations on information technology and communications.
- A Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a related area is mandatory, and the transcripts of the Bachelor degree must confirm the solid background of the candidate in the field of information and communication engineering. Beside the technical background, our candidates are expected to have good domain of the English language.
