The Master of Earth Sciences programme provides an exciting opportunity to advance your knowledge of Earth and Environmental Sciences and will equip you for a professional career in the resource or environmental industries, research or technical positions in government or university labs or qualify you for a Ph.D. program in Earth and Environmental Sciences and related disciplines. Many graduates also consider further study in Engineering, Law, Education, and other professional fields.

You will conduct independent and original research while being guided and supervised by top-notch Dalhousie faculty. In addition, our close links with colleagues at nearby institutions give you access to an unusually broad range of research topics, laboratory facilities, and field areas.
