This Master’s degree programme in English Studies from the University of Heidelberg emphasises research-oriented study and a broad interdisciplinary approach and combines traditional competencies in literary studies and linguistics with skills in new cultural and instructional techniques.

- Over the course of the first three semesters, students complete four seminars, four lectures and two research-oriented independent studies projects, supervised by professors.
- Within these curricular restraints, students can still individually plan their learning content and focus on their needs and interests. Students are required to complete their Master's thesis and prepare for the final oral examination in the fourth semester.
