Description
Eligible students on full-time pre-registration healthcare courses can claim a set amount per academic year. Students on part-time courses will receive a pro-rata amount. You’ll receive payments in 3 instalments with your Training Grant payments.

The award covers £2,000 of childcare costs per academic year.
Eligibility
You're eligible for Parental Support if you have parental responsibility for a child who is either:
- under the age of 15 years
- under 17 years if the child is registered with special educational needs
- ‘Parental responsibility’ means someone who is either a parent or has the same legal rights, duties, powers, and responsibilities as a parent for a child.
- Parental Support will not affect your access to child support or other means of funding through your higher education provider or other sources.
