Description
The Leathersellers' Company is one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London. It was founded by royal charter in 1444 with authority to control the sale of leather within the City. The Company no longer has this regulatory role, and instead devotes its energies to support for charity, education and the British leather trade.
Benefits
One award of £750 (Leathersellers Emerging Talent Award) will be given to a second year BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories student, one award of £1,000 (Leathersellers Designer of the Year Award) and one award of £1,500 (Leathersellers BA Archive Award) will be given to final year BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories students and one award of £2,000 (Leathersellers MA Archive Award) will be given to a final year student on either the MA Footwear or MA Artefact courses.
Eligibility
- A second year student on the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories course, who displays and demonstrates talent.
- A final year student on the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories course, who demonstrates the academic merit and commercial acumen required to succeed within the industry upon graduation.
- A final year student on the BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories in return for a piece of their collection to be acquired for prosperity for the LCF Archives.
- A final year student on either the MA Footwear or MA Artefact courses in return for a piece of their collection to be acquired for prosperity for the LCF Archives.
