Description
This scholarship has been launched as part of the University's largest-ever investment in academic excellence internationally.
The award is a fee reduction in the first-year for international students who have secured an offer to study on a full-time master’s course at Brunel, based on the western side of the United Kingdom’s capital city – and who meet the award’s criteria.

Benefits
£6,000 tuition fee reduction applied each year for a maximum of one year for full time courses and two years for full-time courses running over two years, (for example, if you enrol on to a two-year full time postgraduate taught program, the fee reduction will apply to both years of study).
The awards will be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met (additional payments will not be made during a repeating year, regardless of the reason for repetition).
Eligibility
To be considered, here's what you will need:
- Achieve a minimum 2:1 and above or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate degree.
- Have an offer from us to study one of our postgraduate taught courses starting in September 2025.
- Pay your £5,000 course deposit by 30 August 2025.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must have an offer to study on a full time postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025 of the 2025/26 academic year.
- Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 and above or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification.
- Must be classed as an Overseas fee paying student based on the UK government regulations and be self-funded (not sponsored). This includes applicants from the EU who are required to pay overseas fees. Applicants who are unsure of their fee status should note Brunel uses the information they have provided in their application form to assess fee status against regulations set by the UK government. For information on these regulations please visit the independent organisation UKCISA’s website.
- All applicants must meet all conditions of their offer by the time they are due to register at Brunel.
- Applicants must pay their £5,000 tuition fee deposit within the deadline to secure their fee reduction.

There is no application form to fill out, you will automatically be considered as long as you meet our eligibility criteria detailed below. To be awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate International Excellence Award you will need to meet all the conditions by 30 August 2025.
