The Beacon Scholarship at LSE is offered to undergraduate students.
Benefits
The scholarship offers a £24,000 amount, to help you with your studies
Eligibility
- Gifted children, who in the future will have the confidence and ability to become leaders in their chosen fields in their own country.
- Eligible applicants must be from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Zambia with an offer of admission to any LSE undergraduate prgramme.

To apply for this scholarship, please apply directly to the Beacon Trust. The application deadline for the Beacon Trust is normally in February each year, for entry to LSE in the September of that year.
You will also need to submit a scholarship application to LSE. Once you have an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) to attend LSE you should submit by email the following:
- LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application form
- One academic reference - this can be sent by you together with your scholarship application, or it can be sent to us separately by your referee
- Supporting documents - this will vary dependent on the information you have provided; further guidance can be found in the scholarship application form
