Are you passionate about sustainability? This special scholarship programme has been developed for their international postgraduate students who can demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development.
University College Birmingham is committed to embedding and promoting sustainable practices across their campus, their university community and wider society. They welcome students from around the world whose academic interests and graduate objectives align with their values.
Benefits
Their Sustainable Development Award is open for applications from new international students starting on a full-time postgraduate course (e.g. MA/MSc courses), offering a scholarship worth 25% of the first-year tuition fee.
Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
- You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.
- The minimum academic requirement is 2:1 honours (or international equivalents).
- This scholarship is available to students’ first year of study only.
- You must have paid at least £1,000 towards your deposit within 14 days of receiving your scholarship offer. Otherwise, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
- You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.

As part of your application, you will be required to submit a personal statement detailing your sustainability-related motivations and anticipated outcomes of your postgraduate course, as well as any prior activity or experience within this area. Your application will then be assessed by a panel of academic staff who have expertise in sustainability
