Description

The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.

Benefits

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of £2,000 Deans Excellence scholarships to Home (Scottish) and RUK students undertaking a full-time, one year, on-campus Masters programme or full-time LLB (Graduate Entry) Law programme.

Eligibility

  • Awards will be assessed on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences' scholarships are only open for self-funded, Home (Scottish) and RUK fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time, on-campus, one year, Masters programme or Full-time LLB (Graduate Entry) Law programme.
  • All Home and RUK offer holders will be automatically considered for an award.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in September and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria. Scholarships are non-transferable and will be forfeited if the recipient defers their admission to a later academic year or transfers to a different programme or Faculty after enrolment.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
  • The following programmes are excluded from this scholarship: all PGDE programmes, MSW Social Work, and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice.
