Description

The scholarship is available to one Home student each academic year who intends to study the MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching programme. It includes full tuition fee funding together with professional development and practical experience opportunities. The University particularly encourages applications from underrepresented groups.

Benefits

Tuition fees paid in full,

Voluntary work experience opportunities with Team Hallam, and

Continuing professional development (CPD) worth approx. £2,000.

Eligibility

You can apply for the TASS: EDI Scholarship if you:

  • are willing to study MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching at Sheffield Hallam University in the upcoming academic year, and
  • are a UK national with a home fee status.

Applicants who meet any of the following criteria are particularly encouraged to apply if:

  • you are from an ethnic minority background,
  • you have a disability,
  • you are from a low-income household,
  • you have caring responsibilities, 
  • you have parental responsibilities,
  • you have experienced being in the care system and/or you are estranged from your parents,
  • you are a refugee, or
  • you identify as transgender/non-binary.

You will need to submit a scholarship application form.  This form will ask you to provide:

information about you, including details of your ethnicity and disability status,

confirmation of other personal information and/or characteristics (there will also be a space to provide the required evidence, where relevant),

details of relevant qualifications,

details of past employment and/or experiences relevant to working in the fields of coaching and/or strength and conditioning within sport, and

a written personal statement.
