Description
The scholarship is designed to broaden the diversity of leadership within sports management by supporting individuals who are underrepresented in senior leadership positions in the sporting world, as well as those who actively support underrepresented groups. It is available to students enrolling on the part-time Master of Sport Directorship (MSD).
Benefits
Value: £5,000 tuition fee discount; £,1650 in year 1, £3,350 in year 2.
Eligibility
You must:
- Hold a firm offer to study a new course in the academic year, in Master of Sport Directorship MSD.
Satisfy one of the following criteria;
- Have a disability, or work in supporting disability sports.
- Be a woman or work in female sports.
- Be from a minority ethnic background or support sport in these communities.
- Identify as LGBT+ or work in supporting LGBT+ sports.
Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
- Not be getting other university discounts or scholarships. If you are awarded more than one form of fee reduction, including discounts, awards or scholarships, only the greater amount will be applied.
