Description
The bursaries are designed to support widening participation by helping eligible medical students from UK medical schools other than Hull York Medical School undertake an intercalated degree at HYMS.
The award is paid either as an accommodation discount or as a cash payment for students not living in university-managed accommodation.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible intercalated programme at HYMS.
- Pay UK (Home) tuition fees.
- Begin the programme in September.
- Have a household income below £25,000.
- Not already receive additional funding to undertake an intercalated degree.
Meet two of the following three widening participation criteria:
- Home postcode in a POLAR Quintile 1 or 2 area.
- Neither parent has attended higher education.
- Received the full-rate maintenance grant/loan (or equivalent UK student support).
