Description
The William M. Voigt UAB National Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship was established through generous gifts from the UAB National Alumni Society to be used for the purpose of creating a sponsored student award at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The Scholarship will be used to assist deserving students who are enrolled at UAB.
Benefits
This scholarship is a $1,000 annual award. Recipients are eligible to apply for the award in subsequent years as long as they maintain an overall 3.0 grade point average.
Eligibility
- Be currently enrolled in or admitted to a degree-granting program at UAB.
- First preference will be given to entering first-year undergraduate students.
- Demonstrate solid academic promise and have earned at least an overall 3.0 GPA in coursework completed prior to the time of application.

The selection committee will select the recipient based on the above guidelines. The committee will include members of the National Alumni Society and/of Office of Alumni Affairs, and the donor(s).
