Description
The UAB Department of Music offers tuition assistance opportunities to outstanding music majors and minors who exemplify excellence. Recipients must complete a successful audition in the Department of Music; register as a full-time, degree-seeking student and complete at least 24 credit hours during the academic year of the award while making satisfactory progress towards their their degree.

Eligibility
- Recipients must register for credit and complete all of the ensembles and private lessons required (as determined during the audition) in a manner satisfactory to the director/instructor, and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0. In order to be considered for this scholarship award, a student must complete a successful audition for Department of Music Faculty.

For audition requirements, and to select an audition date and complete the online audition form. Scholarships are available for voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, french horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba, percussion, guitar, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and piano.
Deadline: Sunday, February 15
After March 21, students may still audition, but there is no guarantee of scholarship consideration, so early auditions are encouraged.
