BE&K, Inc. has made a generous gift for the purpose of creating the BE&K, Inc. Scholarship in Engineering at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Eligibility
Recipients of the BE&K, Inc. Scholarship in Engineering will be selected from applicants meeting the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in or admitted to a degree-granting program in Engineering at UAB
- Applicants should demonstrate superior academic achievement and have earned at least an overall 3.00 grade point average in high school and an ACT Composite Score of 28 or higher
- Applicants should be of outstanding character and integrity and possess potential or leadership and show promise of significant achievement in engineering
- Preference will be given to those applicants who are likely to initiate their engineering careers in the Birmingham region
