Description
Established in 2019 by the University of Otago from a generous donation by the U3A Dunedin Charitable Trust, the U3A Dunedin 150th Postgraduate Award was created to support mature postgraduate research students at the University of Otago with research or travel-related costs.
Benefits
Varies up to $3,000.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- a PhD or master's by thesis student, preferably aged more than 35 years (honours and coursework masters' students are not eligible to apply); and
- enrolled at the University of Otago for the year of the Award.

Applicants must submit:
a completed application form including an indicative budget itemising research/travel costs proposed to be supported.
a copy of their academic transcript if the applicant has not been previously enrolled at the University of Otago and is not yet admitted into their master's or PhD programme;
a supporting academic reference from their supervisor.
