Description
The Southern Hearing Charitable Trust runs a scholarship each year for either a school leaver or adult student with permanent hearing loss using a cochlear implant or hearing aids.
Benefits
The recipient will receive a sum of $5,000 towards their study.
Eligibility
- Permanent hearing loss using a cochlear implant
- Enrolled in a NZQA endorsed course, or trades training qualification
- High school leaver or adult student
- About to embark on tertiary study or already in tertiary study
- Must be within the SCIP catchment area (all regions south of Taupo in the North Island and the entire South Island)
