You must be:

  • undertaking research in a specific subject area
  • a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Note, while the HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarship are tenable by students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand, there is however discretion to also consider applications from international students of merit, who are doing postgraduate research study at a New Zealand University.
  • willing to report on your progress
  • willing to acknowledge the Foundation on your research outputs.

  • a brief two-page outline of the proposed research
  • evidence that ethical approval for the proposed research has been applied for or approved
  • an indication of budget and how the grant will be spent
