Support to Study in the Netherlands, for Students from Ukraine

Several thousands of Ukrainian refugees registered in The Netherlands by March 2022. The country, like all other European Union countries, grant temporary protection to people displaced from Ukraine due to the armed conflict there. Check the UN Refugee Agency in The Netherlands for further details. 

The Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education (NUFFIC) is a key source of information regarding scholarship opportunities, study programmes and work regulations in the Netherlands.

Credential evaluation 

On this NUFFIC page you can find out to which Dutch diplomas can you compare certain Ukrainian diplomas.

Scholarships and financial aid  

Study in Holland (www.studyinholland.nl) offers general information on available scholarships for students in the Netherlands. 

Tilburg University is raising an Emergency Fund that works to support its students who are directly affected by war.  

University of Amsterdam (uva.nl) provides emergency funding to students from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus who experience financial hardship due to the war in Ukraine. 

Study programmes and opportunities 

Radboud University offers newcomers with a refugee background the opportunity to participate for free in courses offered by our study programmes.
