The Catholic University of Portugal in Porto began its activities in 1978 with the College of Lawand comprises, at present, 13 degree programs, distributed among the two campuses situated inthe city of Porto: The Asprela and the Foz Campus.

Student services

Each semester the International Office promotes a Welcome Week for its international students.This program includes several activities and events. In addition, and throughout the school year there are taking place several initiatives to promote the integration of international students .

Housing services

The Catholic University of Portugal in Porto, has no on campus Student Residences. It does, however, offers several private accommodation options adjusted to the students' needs.

To ensure you will find the best option, we suggest you refer your need for accommodation, in the early contacts with the International Office.

Medical services

Health Issues

  • Students from EU countries should ask for the European Health Insurance Card at their home country.
  • Students from non EU countries are required to have a health insurance valid for Portugal.

Campus life

Asprela Campus

  • As far as meals are concerned, there are three options in the Asprela campus: two bars and one canteen. The canteen has available four different meals (meat, fish,vegetarian and diet) and the average price of a three course meal at the canteen is about 3.5. To use the canteen, you must buy a ticket at the nearest bar.
Foz Campus
  • There are several options in the Foz campus when it comes to meals. There are two coffee shops where you can have light meals: the School of Arts Coffee Shop, located in the School of Arts Building and another one placed in the main building.
