This school was originally a faculty of the South-Western Polytechnic (later to become Chelsea Polytechnic) which opened in 1895 on Manresa Road and Chelsea Square, founded as the Chelsea Polytechnic in 1882, and has long been renowned for the many distinguished artists on its teaching staff.
Chelsea offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in curating, fine art, graphic design communication, textile design, interior and spatial design.
At Chelsea College of Arts, we specialise in Curating, Fine Art, Graphic Design Communication, Interior and Spatial Design and Textile Design.
The Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Graduate School incorporates research across the three colleges. This includes the Ligatus and Transnational Art, Identity and Nation (TrAIN) research centres, and the Textile Environment Design (TED) research group.

The college’s digital print studio has 7 different printers, 2 iMacs and 2 scanners. There is a print finish and display workshop dedicated to 2D works. The library also has Macs, PCs and scanners students can use.
Our students live in a wide variety of locations across London and choose where they live based on a number of things such as travel time to college, cost of accommodation and how close they are to friends.
Covid 19 majorly disrupted the normal flow of the course and made it very difficult to make work without regular access to the studios and workshops at the end of first year and majority of third year. The freedom of the fine art degree was really refreshing and allowed me to make any artwork I wanted. The library facilities were incredible. Art materials were expensive...
I studied from the University of The Punjab, Old campus from department of the fine--arts. Though I learnt a-lot from my university but still I think there were a-lot of things that were missing. like preparing students for an international market.
This course was a fulfilled and enthusiastic mix of practical and theoretical study. Some contact time with tutors was minimal, although pushed us to re-interpret developments of our practice and cause a conversation with peers.
