Education

UC Leuven-Limburg clusters its range of training courses into three groups and is further divided into 5 areas of interest so that we can coordinate even more between the university colleges. We deliver reputable diplomas in different study areas. Good and practice-oriented education, strong student guidance and the focus on the international are our strengths.

Research

UC Leuven-Limburg, as a university of applied sciences, conducts applied research and collaborates with other regional and international knowledge institutes, companies and organizations, the government and funding institutions to generate new, applied knowledge.

Focus line projects are 2-year research projects that aim to promote multidisciplinary collaboration between the expertise cells and education , and thus to create a collaboration across the groups.

The transition from secondary education to a university college is often quite a big step. Not all students can handle this higher level of independence or the large amounts of learning material..

This is why UC Leuven-Limburg goes to great lengths to provide customised academic coaching.

  • Academic coaching helps you with your study approach in all possible ways: study method, tools for studying, concentration techniques and so on.
  • Personal Development Planning is all about your own choices. After all, you are in charge of your own study programme. Every student has a study coach who is available at a number of pivotal moments, such as at the start of the academic year and at the end of examination periods. 

Housing services

UC Leuven-Limburg has ten campuses in or near some of Flanders' most beautiful cities. The cities of Leuven, Hasselt or Diest are small yet lively towns where getting around is easy. Cultural wealth is within reach. Rolling hills and woodlands are just a short bike ride away.

Accommodation is available near each campus or in town. With thousands of rooms in various price ranges, you are destined to find something to your liking.

Sports facilities

Into Sports ?

In Leuven you can enjoy a wide range of sports at our Hertogstraat Campus sports facility and at the KU Leuven Sports Centre(link is external). You can buy a sports card for the entire academic year for 23 euro at time of registration which gives access to all facilities. If you are an occassional sport person, you have the option to buy a day pass at the sports facility.

With your student card you can enjoy a wide range of advantages for a mere 20 euro/academic year.
