RDI Services is in charge of RDI activities at KAMK. Approximately 60-70 development projects are implemented each year and they are mainly funded by the EU through various funding programmes. RDI activities form a quarter of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences’ turnover and employee work years.

Though the college is having NAAC A+ ranking still most of the constituent colleges of University are not having good facilities lack of class rooms faulty equipment in the labs no proper road connection inside of the University despite of all the drawbacks college is having it is still recommended to take admission because of its supporting faculty and you will learn many thing after coming to this university you will also experience new things which you haven't experienced before

Degree students studying for a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a University of Applied Sciences will be entitled to use services of the Finnish Health Service (FSHS).
The FSHS responsibility is to provide students with health and medical care services. Students are required to pay a student healthcare fee to the Finnish Social Security Institution (Kela) for each academic semester.
The campus of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences is located in the Vimpelinlaakso, within walking distance from the services of Kajaani town centre.There are three cafés on campus, as well as the student restaurant foX.
