About

History

The Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (CEU Cardenal Herrera University) forms part of the Fundación CEU San Pablo (CEU San Pablo University Foundation), which is a not-for-profit teaching organization with more than 80 years of experience in the field of education.

Education

The best way to learn is to learn by doing. Therefore, in addition to the theoretical training, our entire range of studies includes both compulsory and voluntary practical training to enable students to do just that. There are TV studios, a veterinary hospital, computer rooms, recording studios, a dental clinic, a pharmaceutical practical room, and simulation rooms. Whatever your vocation, you will get hands-on training from the first day without leaving the university. In addition, we have agreements with a large number of companies at which you can undertake placements to prepare you to join the professional world.

Research

University CEU Cardenal Herrera is among the top four Spanish private universities in research rankings (Shanghai Ranking Expanded, IUNE, international ranking SCIMAGO) and remains a benchmark in the Region of Valencia.

The university has a clear commitment to research (+1.3 million euros of investment and more than 40 projects) as a basis to develop academic excellence that benefits our students and society in general.

Career

Due to the professional work placements, which the university holds and rigorously develops to reconstruct professional future scenarios, the students are able to begin work practices from their first year on. In the last years of each degree, the internship department manages the demand of interns from companies and institutions. The University constantly organizes new cooperation agreements to facilitate access to employment. It also has two specific programs, "Voluntary Internships" and "Mandatory Internships". In some degrees, the percentage numbers of students who acquire internships are 100%.

The only problem I had at university was my later arrival to the starting of courses, because of my home university exams. At the beginning this made my integration with classmates and the approaching with a new method and a new ambience more difficult. Valencia is a perfect city to live in, not too chaotic but with everything you need. With lot of cultural and social...

Teachers are nice and it's a great school with a lot of international students, so when you don't speak the local language very well (especially in the beginning) it's great because you aren't alone. And when the locals see/start to see that you actually make an effort, they'll do the same. Valencia (and I think Spain in general) is not so expensive. I paid 250? for a big...

Compared to my portuguese home school in this school this on is much more practical and give the student a wider range of techniques, while lacks on clinical thought which is of the utmost importance to learn, and i noted i was missing in my local classmates.
