With the constitution of its first Senate, the 30th of October 1979 marked the birth of the University of Cadiz (UCA), the culmination of a long process in the demand for a university institution that would recover the fruitful tradition of higher education studies initiated and developed with the support of maritime and commercial activities in modern and contemporary times for Cadiz.

The province of Cadiz is located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula and in the southwest of Andalusia, the southernmost peninsular region of Spain, separated by just 14 kilometres from the African continent by the Strait of Gibraltar. The history of the province of Cadiz is marked by the legacy of the diverse cultures that have passed through it: Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, etc.

The University of Cadiz is strongly linked to the region where it carries out its activities. That is why it is structured into 4 campuses with a total of 64 degrees.

All the faculty is totally new, they have one of the newest technologies that you are able to use during your programme of your bachelor. There are not too many foreigners student, the nationality that you will find most is latin american, between foreigners, but the university will open their arms to take you.

A lot of cultural diversity and facilities for acquiring Erasmus scholarships, as I could see when I was in Italy in the third year of my degree
