My experience in the Master of International Finance and Economics at the University of Macerata has been very positive overall. The programme offers a strong academic foundation, especially in economics, finance, and international topics, and most professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely willing to support students. I particularly appreciated the theoretical depth combined with practical perspectives, which helped me better understand how financial and economic concepts apply in real-world contexts. What I really liked was the international orientation of the programme and the stimulating academic environment. Courses encouraged critical thinking, and there were opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds, which made the experience more enriching both academically and personally. The city of Macerata itself is also a nice place to study: calm, affordable, and student-friendly, which makes it easier to focus on university life. In terms of improvements, the programme could benefit from more structured practical activities, such as workshops with professionals, more applied projects, or stronger links with companies and institutions. Some administrative processes could also be clearer and faster. Overall, however, I am very satisfied with my study experience and would recommend this programme to students who are looking for a solid education in international finance and economics within a welcoming university environment.
Positive, enriching academic experience with minor administrative improvements needed.
Studying abroad has been a transformative experience for me, both academically and personally. Moving to Italy to pursue my Master’s degree at the University of Macerata exposed me to a new educational system, diverse perspectives, and a different cultural environment. It challenged me to adapt quickly, improve my communication skills, and become more independent. Living in a new country has also helped me develop resilience and problem-solving skills, as I navigated language barriers, administrative processes, and daily life in a foreign setting. At the same time, I had the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, broadening my global outlook and cultural understanding. Overall, studying abroad has strengthened my confidence, flexibility, and ability to work in international environments, making it a highly valuable experience for both my personal growth and future career.
