About
History
The Royal School of Library and Information Science or Det Informationsvidenskabelige Akademi is located in Denmark. It was found in 1956. It replaced the name of Danish State Library School, which was established in 1918.
Education
RSLIS educates undergraduates, librarians, graduates (cand.scient.bibl.) and PhDs in information science and cultural communication. RSLIS also offers a diploma and a master's degree.
Research
RSLIS's education programs target tasks in both public and research libraries, public administration, organizations and private companies. Librarians and graduates are also employed as information specialists, researchers, web managers, document managers, knowledge managers, information workers and cultural mediators.
Career
The knowledge and network society offers good job opportunities for masters and librarians, and an increasing number of graduates find job openings in the private sector as information specialists.

Campus life
There are two campuses. In Aalborg, 200 students enrolled each year. And in Copenhagen domicile, there are 800 students.
