Ten years after its creation in November 4, 1878, the Superior School of Telegraphy achieved its first transformation by becoming the Professional School of Posts and Telegraphs. In 1942, it received its final designation of National Superior School of Telecommunications. ENST, called Télécom ParisTech in 2008, provides education that places it at the heart of a world that has become digital.
Télécom ParisTech is an international and multidisciplinary research centre for digital technology which combines disciplinary expertise at the highest level and a unique capacity for a cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary approach across all the sectoral areas in direct response to the socio-economic issues of the digital revolution.
Our talents are digital specialists, and develop research and innovation, according to an approach inherited from the model of “French engineers”: covering both technologies, modeling and theoretical aspects, up to solutions practices, uses and their impact on society.

The Maisel 1 residence is located at 212 rue de Tolbiac Paris 13e, and is one of the residences directly managed by the association. It is ideally-situated near the School, with 357 beds, including 235 individual bedrooms (with a sink and shower) and 61 studios for two people (with a sink, shower, toilet, and kitchen).
The Documentary and Digital Resources Center (CRDN) of Télécom Paris welcomes you to support you in your research, work and reading. It is open to all students and staff of Télécom Paris, as well as to the outside public.
The School provides social services for students. A student registered at Telecom ParisTech must have French public health system. It is necessary to fill out a printed form. It is strongly recommended to take out a Student Insurance; these are easily available with student Mutual Insurance companies.
Telecom ParisTech is located in central Paris, in the heart of a rich urban and cultural environment. Our school offers innovative online services such as e-training before arrival and an extended digital working environment on site. It features a cafeteria and two refreshment areas and also offers affordable student accommodation located nearby.
The BDS organizes all sports activities within Telecom and offers the possibility of practicing twenty sports such as football, swimming, boxing and tennis.
Télécom Paris encourages its students to actively participate in community life. Very formative, it allows them to develop their sense of responsibility and organization. Certain responsibilities benefit from recognition (ECTS credits) in engineering training.
