Student Life

Campus life

Exam preparation at the beach, sailing after the lab? This is part of everyday life in Greifswald. Ultimately, students study and conduct research at a place others spend their holidays. Being Germany's sunniest region, the region around Greifswald invites you to sail and bathe.

But those who are not as keen on swimming will no doubt find the right leisure time activity from the extensive choice of university sport and the town's numerous sport clubs. The University's and the town's cultural programmes are impressive.

Student clubs

The Student Union is responsible for the students' social concerns. It runs the refectory and student hostels and decides on educational grants (BAföG). Further information about all areas of study is provided by the students' representatives in the AStA and by students in the departments.
