In 2002, the Open Universiteit of the Netherlands took its first steps towards implementation of its internationalisation policy. Contrary to most institutions for higher education, the exchange of students or attracting them to come is not is a prime focus here.
The Welten Institute is the Research Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology of the Open University of the Netherlands. Its research focuses on 'Learning and teaching in technology enhanced learning environments'.
