Housing services

LUCA does not own student accommodation. Therefore, you will have to rent a room on the private housing market for the duration of your stay. To help you in your search, it is best to contact the department of the student services. We will connect you to trustworthy organisations on the private housing market. There is a shortage of student rooms in most Flemish cities, so it is advisable to start looking for accommodation at least four months before the start of your stay.

Library services

LUCA School of Arts has libraries in Brussels, Leuven, Ghent and Genk, with specialized collections in the arts, design and/or architecture.

Medical services

With the European Health Insurance Card you are covered in case of hospitalisation. For outpatient costs you need to advance the total sum of the cost at the doctor and at the pharmacy. You can subscribe with a Belgian health insurance fund if you would like to follow the same rules as for residents (you only have to pay 20 – 30% of the total sum of the medical cost).
