Medical University - Varna was founded as a Higher Medical Institute (HMI) in 1960. 1st October 1961, the first day of the first academic year at the first higher medical school in North-Eastern Bulgaria, is deemed to be the date of birth of HMI - Varna.

I really love my university, though studying medicine abroad is very hard. But I do my best and I think have nice results. Education program is suitable, relationships with teachers are great, other students are pleasant and friendly guys. I’m not sure, that my experience is enough to say, what can be improved in my university. The most awful thing is online tests and essays. Firstly, because of unfairness, secondly, if it’s an essay-exam , Bulgarian keyboard)))) But , I will say one more time, I don’t think that it’s an university’s issue.

In my first year the unoversity it was very nice and helpful, but I realised that the education it was lower than I expect.
Medical University "Prof. Dr. ParaskevStoyanov"- Varna has at its disposal two students' hostels "Block 35"and "Block 3", with a total capacity of 750 beds.The monthly rent for the students admitted at state order amount to 65 BGN and for foreign students and students in the paid form of training the rent is 100 BGN. This rent does not include the electricity and subsistence which are paid separately.
