Research at York St John University covers a wide range of disciplines across our four faculties. Our colleagues and students take part in a variety of research activities, both at the University and in national and international forums. Regular research seminars and conferences are held through the year.

The International Student Support Team provide Airport Collections, support on arrival to campus, a programme of Welcome and Orientation activities, and ongoing support throughout your time with us. We employ a team of paid student workers, called Global Guides, who are from around the world and who assist in delivering Global Campus and Welcome activities. Global Guides are well trained in inclusion and intercultural communication, amongst other areas and are here to help you during your time studying at York St John.
We have a range of great student accommodation from brand new, en-suite, self-catered accommodation just 10-15 minutes' walk away to semi-catered accommodation located on our Lord Mayor's Walk campus, just 30 seconds walk from campus.
The Foss Building contains laboratories for physiology, biomechanics, psychology, physiotherapy and a fitness suite.
York St John University has a stunning campus, minutes from the city centre of York and all it has to offer.Our 11 acre site is in a beautiful setting facing the world-famous York Minster across the city walls. Originally built around a quadrangle in 1841, York St John's oldest buildings present a striking frontage to the University. Newer buildings added over the past few years provide a wonderful contrast and include De Grey Court and the Fountains Learning Centre which houses the library, IT facilities, Computer Science lab and a modern lecture theatre.
The Foss Building houses the University's sports performance area, complete with climbing wall and facilities for basketball, netball, badminton, indoor football, cricket and volleyball.
