In 1527, Landgrave Philip the Magnanimous of Hesse founded the first Protestant university in the world in Marburg, which still exists today. It has been named after its founder since the early 20th century.

The university, the professors and the contents are great! Sadly the entire organisation is a mess and I have to invest way to much time dealing with this myself. The capacity for lectures and courses is often too small,you don‘t get in but need to, which usually means days or weeks of E-Mails and discussions. At least the content and the professors make up for it!
