Bachelor's Degree Journey: International Marketing
Reflecting about my academic journey towards obtaining a Bachelor's degree in International Marketing, I am overwhelmed with a profound sense of personal development, achievement, and an intensified enthusiasm for the ever-evolving realm of global commerce. Throughout my academic journey, I have faced difficulties, seized favourable circumstances, and built a strong base that has provided me with the aptitude and understanding essential for achieving excellence in the field. An enriching part of my scholastic experience was the varied curriculum that integrated theoretical principles with practical applications. The international marketing programme offered a thorough comprehension of worldwide markets, consumer behaviour, and cultural subtleties, while also promoting analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems. By participating in case studies, doing market analysis, and collaborating on group projects, I was able to effectively apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, thereby improving my capacity to manage the intricate dynamics of the global business environment. The instructors had a crucial influence in my academic journey. Their profound knowledge, deep understanding of the sector, and constant support created a favourable atmosphere for acquiring knowledge. I derived advantages from their guidance, which went beyond the confines of the classroom, as they motivated me to engage in extracurricular activities, attend seminars, and pursue internships in order to acquire practical experience. Engaging in several international conferences and seminars broadened my global outlook and acquainted me with developing trends in the sector. These experiences not only enhanced my education but also expanded my network, linking me with professionals and researchers who had a similar enthusiasm for international marketing. My undergraduate thesis, which examined the influence of digital marketing on worldwide consumer behaviour, demonstrates my commitment and research skills. Through this project, I had the opportunity to explore a current problem in the sector and utilise analytical and research methods to provide valuable insights. In addition to my academic pursuits, I aggressively pursued opportunities to participate in community service, take on leadership positions, and engage in business endeavours. These experiences sharpened my ability to interact with others and lead effectively, emphasising the significance of being socially responsible and practicing ethical behaviour in the corporate realm. To summarise, my Bachelor's degree in International Marketing has been a revolutionary experience that has provided me with a comprehensive comprehension of the worldwide business environment. I am certain that the skills, knowledge, and experiences acquired over this period have equipped me to flourish in future academic endeavours and, more significantly, to make significant contributions to the field of international marketing. As I begin the next phase of my academic and professional endeavours, I am enthusiastic about utilising the knowledge and skills acquired throughout my undergraduate studies to seek further education and maintain my dedication to achieving high standards in the field of international marketing.

Library services
UMS Library is an information centre to support the process of teaching, learning, research, innovation and university publications. UMS Library also extends the services to its branch locations at Labuan International Campus Library, Medical Library, Engineering Multimedia Library, Sandakan Campus Library and Block Clinical Sikuati.
Medical services
The Pusat Kesihatan UMS (PKU) aims to provide healthcare services for a healthier university’s community through comprehensive and patient-centred care.To provide global standard community healthcare services to the university’s community, through the application of collaborative and personalised healthcare in order to empower university’s community towards optimum health and wellbeing.
Campus life
- About UMS Labuan International Campus UMS Labuan International Campus (UMSLIC), located approximately 18KM from Labuan city center is the first branch campus for Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). On January 1, 1999 UMSLIC started its operation with a total of 356 first intake students on May, 1999.
- The Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture (or previously known as School of Sustainable Agriculture) was established on 4th May 2006 with the aim of training manpower in the fields of crop production, livestock production and horticulture and landscape who will assist in improving the agriculture sector of the country based on three main principles – Sustainability, Awareness and High Technology.
Sports facilities
UMS Sports Centre plays a role in helping the Department of Student Affairs to handle all forms of sports and recreational activities as well as to provide facilities - related services , and advisory services in organizing sports events. In addition, the Sports Centre is also responsible to implement and to ensure success of the Sports Core and high performance sports so as to contribute in the National sports development .
