The Esslingen Graduate School was created in the late 1990s, in response to the demands of our industrial partners, who wanted to see more international talent on the German job market. In 1998, the Esslingen MBA in International Industrial Management was created, followed one year later by the two Engineering programmes. These were pioneers, among the first English-language programmes in Germany.
Part of the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, The Graduate School's master programmes have a hands-on, practical approach. They are taught by professors with industrial experience, and profit greatly by our close ties to local industrial greats.
Some students choose to continue their studies to the PhD level. The Graduate School supports students in this path.
On average, between 50% (MBA) and 90% (M.Eng.) of our students remain in Germany after graduation, with a strong starting salary averaging between 50 and 70,000 €.

Throughout their stay, students are supported in everyday issues and in administrative, housing or personal matters by the Graduate School Office and the Student Union.
They are given assistance in obtaining their visa, residence permit, health insurance and housing. In addition, students are given the opportunity to take part in many social and cultural events throughout their time in Esslingen.
"A special thanks ... to the staff members of the Graduate School. The study programs could not exist without coordinators that act almost invisibly behind the scenes, administrating and organizing every bit of our everyday student life at university."
- Oliver Breuning and Juergen Schmidt, ASM 2016

Come see Germany! The Language and Culture Program
Before commencing their master's program, students attend a 3-4 week introductory program in German language and culture. The aim of the program is to give students an insight into German culture and provide them with German language skills. This program takes place in September and forms an excellent introduction to German culture. Through excursions to places of interest, lectures and tours, it shows students examples of German cities, architecture and life. Before their studies begin in October, students are given the opportunity to get to know one another, the campus and the region they are living in.
The Esslingen Graduate School programmes are regularly reaccredited by the ASIIN. The ASIIN is responsible for examining and certifying new bachelor's and master's programmes in engineering, computer sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and geosciences. As our programmes are primarily in Engineering and Engineering Management, we are proud to be assured of our high quality in these fields.
The school has an excellent location very close to the center of Stuttgart, and very well connected with cities as important as Frankfurt or Munich. This helps with the search for a job position (internship or full-time employment). Also, Germany's location is excellent for traveling and visiting countries that surround it. The diversity is really nice. Access to professors is amazing and possible due to small class size. It satisfies my technical, technological and business needs. Still learning a lot from the University.
