The Wismar University was founded in 1952. The WINGS branch of the institution was set up in 2004 with the main purpose of developing and organising market-inspired educational programmes under the constant supervision of some of the best professionals of the domain.

The WINGS - Wismar International Graduation Services GmbH ( www.wings-fernstudium.de ), founded in 2004, is a subsidiary of the Wismar University of Applied Sciences. It organizes on-the-job online and remote study courses as well as certified further education in the areas of business, technology and design.
